The Solomon Center Expansion The SC is our free resource center to our community. Over 120 families visit our every other Wednesday center to pick up toiletries and food from 6-7:30pm. Our hope is that this could be a relational environment where people can form friendships, be prayed for, and get guidance on the "next steps" of receiving the help and encouragement they need. To provide this relational encouragement, The Solomon Center will be moving to Grace Church in Loveland off of South Lebanon Road (11020) so we can deepen our relational connection. Our spot at MacArthur Park Apartments has become limiting with the added number of people coming out to receive help when we're open. We‟ll be open every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month starting September 1, 2010. There are tons of new roles to fill and opportunities to take advantage of. If interested in serving at the new Solomon Center, contact David Smith at 575-3467, dsmith@northstarvineyard.org.
Mack Avenue Community Church: 2010 Mission Trip
We'll be heading up to Detroit, MI to work with our church plant, Mack Avenue Community Church. The dates are Friday, September 24 to Sunday, September 26. We'll be joining up with MACC in some of their local outreach events while also helping them rehab some of the rundown homes their leaders have moved into. Many of the MACC leaders have purchased foreclosed homes in order to live directly in the neighborhood they are targeting to reach. This trip is great for folks of all experiences and skill sets. The trip will be around 70 dollars per person and the deadline to sign up is Sept. 19. If you need any financial help for the trip, please let us know. We'll be carpooling up to Detroit and leaving sometime Friday afternoon, Sept. 24 and returning after the MACC Sunday Celebration on Sept. 26. Any questions or want to sign up, contact Adam Kasel: akasel@northstarvineyard.org, 668-0485.

The Walking Trail at our Land is Always Open
The walking trail out our 8.4 acres of land off of Union Cemetery is always open and we'd love it if people wanted to periodically pop in and do a prayer walk around the land. The land is at 9767 Union Cemetery Road, Loveland, OH 45140. If you go and want something specific to pray about, please pray that God would redeem the land and use it for His glory. And pray that God would give Northstar wisdom and insight on how to best use that land to extend his Kingdom.
The Cincinnati House of Prayer As some of you may know, we have many folks at Northstar who serve and participate with The Cincinnati House of Prayer (C-HOP). C-HOP is a worship and prayer initiative for the purpose of revival and awakening in the tri-state region. They have a vision of being a night and day continuous expression in our region, though it's not realized yet. All those with a heart for worship and prayer are welcome to join with others across the city in this corporate prayer room. C-HOP is open daily Monday-Saturday 8am-10pm. They offer trainings, internships, classes and conferences throughout the year. For more information check out: www.c-hop.org.

Outreach:
Saturday Morning Missions: You don't need to cross the globe for a mission-trip type experience. We go out every Saturday morning for about 50 minutes, meeting the practical needs of our neighbors. We meet at 11am in the NSV parking lot, left hand corner. We grab lunch at Fields Ertel Quiznos afterwards. Just show up. Questions, contact David Smith at 575-3467, dsmith@northstarvineyard.org.
The Solomon Center. We operate a free resource store out of Grace Church in Loveland every 1st and 3rd Wednesday night of the month from 7-8:30pm. Our mission is to provide hope by helping the whole person. This means that we not only do we provide free food and toiletry items, but also offer opportunities for relational and spiritual support. If you are interested in volunteering, there are two ways you can get involved. Filling up a yellow bag you grab on a Sunday and bringing it back to church. Or, sign up to volunteer on one of the Wednesday evenings The Solomon Center is open. Contact Sandi Horine to sign up or for any questions: 652-1205, sandi.horine@yahoo.com. Grace Church is located at 11020 S. Lebanon Rd. Loveland, OH 45140.
Yellow Bag Ministry: This past year we've seen the attendance at the Solomon Center almost double and therefore we're on pace to give out more food/toiletries than our budget will allow this year. Therefore, we're asking for help with this obstacle. To help, you can pick up a yellow bag any Sunday from the hallway rack by the info tables, take home, fill it up with what's listed on the paper sheet stapled to it, and bring back any Sunday morning. You can drop off the filled bags by the yellow bag rack. These items will help us in continuing to run the Solomon Center. Any questions: Contact David Smith, 575-3467, or dsmith@northstarvineyard.org
The Solomon Program: The Solomon Program is a six month empowerment program for individuals in our community who have been marginalized and need a little extra help. It runs from February to July every year. The participants go through 12 bible classes, 12 life courses, 24 hours of community service, 12 hours with their mentors, and do a final project. At the end, they get 3000 dollars toward education, housing, or transportation if they complete the requirements. If interested in being a mentor or teaching one of the life or bible classes, let us know. The next group will be starting in February, 2008. Some of the life courses may include finances, car repair, resumes, parenting, relationships, and things like that. The bible classes will cover topics like salvation, grace, forgiveness, biblical relationships, sanctification, etc. Contact David Smith if interested. 575-3467, dsmith@northstarvineyard.org
Solomon's HELP: we help with utilities, rent, food, and other items throughout the week for folks in our community who have physical needs. We will help people out with two free 30 dollar gifts over the course of a year. After two free times, we'll help them out with 4 more 30 dollar gifts, but they first have to join us on outreach or contribute in some other hour-long community service to receive each of those gifts. Volunteer by helping deliver food to folks in need and by helping meet other practical needs. Contact David Smith at 575-3467, dsmith@northstarvineyard.org.
